Good news for the development of tourism in the Mallakastër area

As part of the project “EU for Economic Development – Tourism-led Local Economic Development with a Focus on Cultural Heritage”, on September 1-2 different community engagement activities took place:

• The first meeting of the local working group that will explore opportunities for public-private collaborations in the tourism development of the Mallakaster territory;
• A Roundtable with directors and teachers of Mallakaster schools, to gather the educational system’s perspectives on tourism development of the territory and engage it in the ongoing process of promoting appreciation for Mallakaster resources.

As part of the project “EU for Economic Development – Tourism-led Local Economic Development with a Focus on Cultural Heritage”, on September 1-2 different community engagement activities took place:

These activities continue the community and stakeholders’ engagement process started in April, which since then has seen the realization of community meetings, roundtables with representatives of Mallakaster villages and enterprises, and the launch of a course for local tourist guides directed at citizens of Mallakaster.    

The activities are coordinated by the Italian Agency for Development Cooperation, together with the Emilia-Romagna Region and ART-ER, in collaboration with the Municipality of Mallakaster.
