As part of the project “EU for Economic Development – Tourism Local Economic Development with a Focus on Cultural Heritage”, two open community meetings were held in Mallakaster on April 16 and 17 to present the project’s community engagement activities and training opportunities.
During the meetings:
* The community mapping activity, which will involve the territory in the coming months, was introduced;
* Participants took part in group discussions on local resources and a shared vision for the future of the Mallakaster area;
* The upcoming training course for local tourist guides, aimed at young people in the region, was presented.
The events were coordinated by the Italian Agency for Development Cooperation, together with the Emilia-Romagna Region and ART-ER, in collaboration with the Municipality of Mallakaster. A total of 56 people participated in the two meetings.
