At the latest meeting of the Project Steering Committee for the Bylis–Klos Archaeological Park, attended by the Deputy Minister of Tourism, Culture and Sports, Ms. Lira Pipa, the Ambassador of the European Union to Albania, Mr. Silvio Gonzato, and representatives from the European Union Delegation, AICS and IKTK, participants discussed the progress of the project and the next steps toward its completion.
The meeting focused on two key components:
- The Multifunctional Visitor Centre, which will serve as a modern space for interpretation, education and promotion of the heritage of Bylis and Klos;
- The Archaeological Conservation Plan, which aims to ensure the protection and restoration of the park’s monuments over a five-year period.
This project, supported by the European Union and the Italian Government, represents an important example of international cooperation in support of cultural heritage preservation and the sustainable development of cultural tourism in Albania.
